THE FOUNDER
A creator, dreamweaver, artist who speaks the language of fabric.
Hello, I’m Lucinda Chloe — creative director of The Fabric Alchemist, mother of three extraordinary souls, and a lifelong believer in beauty that breathes.

I don’t just design with fabric; I design with feeling.
I don't just design with fabric; I design with feeling.
I wasn't always this free.
I grew up in a strict religious community — a world where modesty, structure and rules shaped everything. But fabric was my escape. From a young age I learnt to sew, to design, to create something beautiful within the boundaries I was given. It became my outlet. My expression. My quiet rebellion.
Before founding The Fabric Alchemist, my path wound through interior design and storytelling — each teaching me how spaces and people respond to harmony. To me, draping is a language, a way to shape energy, light, and emotion into experiences people never forget.
That sensitivity now lives inside every installation I create.
There are no rules in my work. Only softness, movement, and feeling. Whether I'm transforming a venue, collaborating on an editorial, or working alongside a planner to realise a vision neither of us has seen before — my work is always about one thing: connection between people, place, and presence.
I'm based in Australia, but my work is global, drawn from architecture, couture, the natural world, and a lifetime of working with fabric.
